I get a lot of folks asking me for examples of websites crushing it with Facebook traffic.
I’m not talking Performance Bonus stuff here, just purely the websites making bank via website visitors.
So I’ve put together a list of 5 interesting sites and Facebook pages you can check out for inspiration and have added some notes about what I believe they are doing to achieve success.
Don’t put too much hold on page follower numbers by the way – a page with 3 million followers does NOT necessarily get 100x the traffic or engagement of a page with 30k followers – the Facebook feed algorithm doesn’t work that way.
The little guy (or page) can and does go viral all the time on Facebook!

Honestly, I freakin’ love this page. It can be very funny and meta for its loyal audience of language learners, which is a key component to making Facebook content work.
I often use the Language Nerds as a prime example of how to drive LIC (Link In Comments) traffic effectively.
They tend to post 2-4 meme style image posts every 2 hours – usually broadly humorous, curiosity inducing or with very specific in-humor for their audience.
In between these image posts they will post another image post with a link in the comments to an article on their website.
They rarely post videos or link posts.
This has been a very effective tactic for them over the years and proves my theory that consistency is the key thing with Facebook traffic.
Their site itself is a very simple and stripped-down blog-style site which is exactly what you need for Facebook visitors who are often on patchy Wi-Fi and mobile data.
You could take their formula and apply it to almost any niche, say rock music, sports, professions like nursing or nostalgia topics.
weqyoua.com
One of their (many) Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/weqyoua/
These guys have been making millions from simple trivia quizzes for as long as I can remember!
They have a fascinating Facebook traffic model involving dozens of websites and Facebook pages, with new ones being added all the time.
Only utilizing link posts scheduled hourly, from multiple websites to each page, has proved highly effective and I have never seen them experiment with LIC posts or videos for example becasue, why would they need to…?
Here is the weird thing about their websites – they all look almost identical and have done for years! They just change up the logo and randomize the trivia questions. That’s it.
They never seem to need to use ads for followers or gimmicks.
I did join their newsletter once which sent out daily quizzes for one of their (identical) trivia sites, but they seem to have stopped doing this now as clearly it wasn’t as easy and effective as just posting hourly to Facebook.
Anyone can make this trivia quiz model work. Absolutely anyone. Just ask Chat GPT to write the trivia questions and use a simple WordPress theme.
diyeverywhere.com
One of their (many) Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057437619009
An incredibly successful page belonging to someone who clearly knows what they are doing with Facebook traffic!
The images, posts and articles are all on point and that shows in the success they are enjoying.
They are posting pretty much all LIC posts from multiple sites to drive traffic to their pretty basic and – I would say unoptimized – websites.
Honestly, if I had their traffic to these niches I would squeeze every last dollar from my website visitors which they clearly do not.
But like I say, this is a gold standard approach to Facebook which I would urge you to model closely for your own niches and web properties.
historydefined.net
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HistoryDefinedBlog
I love this page because it takes a very simple and effective concept – that of historically interesting and nostalgic photos – and combines this with LIC posts.
It is the ultimate in not complicating something that doesn’t need to be complex!
What everyone says when they see this page though is “how are they able to use these images of celebs and copyrighted material?”
Well the answer is they are probably breaking Meta TOS with some of this copyrighted content but Meta don’t seem to care too much.
If you want to follow this example for your Facebook traffic site I would urge you to stick to public domain and copyright-free images to stay on the good side of Meta.
But we all know this kind of content is common across Facebook and highly effective so… it is a judgment call and risk that many page owners make.
thedodo.com
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thedodosite/
I often cite The Dodo as the perfect model for Facebook content that ANYONE can replicate.
They are also the absolute killers at page title and thumbnail optimization to drive users from Facebook and unto their monetized website!
For the most part, this site takes emotional animal rescue stories from YouTube or other social networks, and simply writes about the video that is embedded in the article.
It’s the same method I used to get my first Facebook traffic and revenue with over a deacde ago and it’s a model that still works PERFECTLY today.
Remember though – the key is EMOTIONAL stories. Boring stuff won’t cut it. I want to be moved to tears, and not by bad website layout…
Pay particular attention to the thumbnails The Dodo uses for its link posts. They are usually ambiguous in nature, employing “curiosity gap” techniques to entice the user to click on the thumbnail to see what’s going on with the image.
This image ambiguity trick is also extremely effective when running Facebook ads, by the way!
I hope these sites and pages have inspired you to make the journey into Facebook traffic or double down on what you are doing if you are already in the game.
